After serving for many years at Trinity, Sister Gloria Shirley and Sister Ann Whittaker are leaving New York City for Duxbury, Massachusetts, where they will live in community with members of their order at the Mother House of the Sisters of St. Margaret. "There's a difference between knowing something is wrong and knowing what to do about it," preached the Rev. Kristin Kaulbach Miles at the 11:15am service in Trinity Church today. The gap between how things are and how we want them to be can be overwhelming. But, God doesn't see people as problems. The Kingdom of God sees people as a process, and God is with us in it. With anecdotes ranging from a Peanuts comic strip to wisdom from Octavia Butler, Sylvia Boorstein, and Pádraig Ó Tuama, Mother Kristin gives us examples of how we are all a work-in-progress, going forward together with each other and with God.
