Today we're chatting with Noah Robbins of Purlie Victorious. Noah told us all about his favorite backstage moments, routines and more!

What’s the first thing you do when you arrive to the theatre?

Wash my hands. I’m not obsessive compulsive but I am germ conscious.

What’s the last thing you do before you go on stage?

Wash my hands. I think I might be obsessive compulsive.

What’s your must-have backstage snack?

Granola bar, but I’ve been flirting with the idea of stocking up on some Bagel Bites because I’m 12.

Pre-show ritual that others may think is weird?

I act out the entire opening scene of 8 Mile, including the vomit on my sweater already Mom’s spaghetti.

What are five must-haves in your dressing room?

4 walls and a ceiling. I’ll be here all week.

What’s your favorite moment from the show to watch from the wings?

Watching Billy Eugene Jones’s Gitlow outsmart Jay O. Sanders’s Ol’ Cap’n. A delight every single show.

What has been your favorite backstage moment in your time with this show so far?

Getting to hug Alan Alda, who originated the role I’m playing. Moments like that give me a big ole case of the wide-eyes.
